The WHO 2021 thymoma classification: a work in progress

The updated, recently published 2021 WHO classification of thymic tumors incorporates the most recent advances in field pathology, with particular emphasis on primary epithelial neoplasms. This new edition retains basic format previous editions for neoplasms reaffirming schema originally proposed first edition, which utilized a combination letters and numbers designation these tumors. Only minimal changes have been incorporated compared ones.
